Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Minax Digital Pvt. Ltd. (“Minax Digital”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the Kogilu app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The app

Kogilu is a music player that plays audio files already stored on your device. It lets you browse your library, create playlists, save favourites, adjust sound with an equalizer, and back up your data. Online features are not available in the current version.

3. Who can use the app

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Your account

  • An account is optional. You can use the app as a guest.
  • If you create an account, give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time. See Delete Account.

5. Your music

The app does not provide, sell, host or review music. You are responsible for making sure you own, or have the right to play, the audio files you use with the app, and for following copyright and other applicable laws.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for any unlawful purpose;
  • copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the app;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app’s source code, except where the law allows it;
  • interfere with or bypass the app’s security features; or
  • use the app in a way that could harm us, other users or third parties.

7. Licence and ownership

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms. The app, its design, the Kogilu name and logo, and all related rights belong to Minax Digital or its licensors.

8. Third-party services

The app relies on services from third parties, including Google Play, Google Sign-In and Google Firebase. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the app. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available or work on every device.

10. Your data

Your playlists, favourites and listening history are stored on your device. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or losing your device can permanently remove them. Use Backup & restore to keep a copy. We are not responsible for data lost from your device.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if required by law.

12. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or fit for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minax Digital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or on our Google Play listing. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
